Portfolio of international arbitrations and awards

Problem

Several companies and HNWIs had arbitration claims in various stages of progress, including some award cases. All needed liquidity and wanted to monetize part of the claim or award, as well as not to bear the costs of arbitration. In all cases there were risks that made it difficult to invest in the case individually: award or arbitration against a sovereign state in other continents that refused to pay, against companies or individuals with assets across jurisdictions with difficult enforcement, risk of award recognition and/or long times to do so, among others

Solution

Claimbnb structured a solution that allowed to make investment offers to all applicants on an individual basis, but considering the risk globally. Thanks to this, it was possible to invest in cases where it would not have been possible on an individual basis due to their high-risk profile

Result

All claimants received an offer for the partial monetization of their claims and for the financing of the arbitration costs
